Applications must include:
\n- Completed application form
\n- Evidence that the applicant has completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in education\/teaching
\n- Evidence that the appliant is a current teacher at the primary or secondary level.
\n- Evidence that the applicant meets the English language requirements of this program.
\n- A copy of the applicant's CV or resume.
\n- A written personal statement from the applicant (minimum one page) which outlines their motivation for applying to this program.
\n- Completed health\/medical form, and if required, follow-up information from a doctor or other health professional.<\/p>\n","program_application_process":"
Upon receiving the above application, AFS Australia staff will review and then schedule a video interview (over skype or zoom) with the applicant. All applicants for this program will be interviewed by AFS Australia staff and\/or volunteers.<\/p>\n
Following the interview, AFS Australia will formally 'accept' or 'not accept' the application and commence the process of matching the participant to a host school.<\/p>\n

Most school placements are in regional or urban areas of Western Australia. In other states, most placements are in regional areas, that is, most participants are not placed in urban or metropolitan areas such as in Sydney or Melbourne. <\/p>\n
Participants should expect to volunteer and live in regional Australia; we recommend that they undertake research prior to departing their home country about both their host school and host community so that they are fully prepared for their placement. <\/p>\n","program_distributed_info":"
